MCP2F is fluorinated, enabling dense arrays and smaller spot sizes without merging.

Description

Name:
MCP2F Kit
(NAS and silane active groups on a fluorinated backbone)
Class:
Coating Copolymers Kit
Functional group's advantage:
The backbone of MCP2F (like MCP2 and MCP4) bonds to a solid phase via covalent silane interactions.
MCP2F is unique in that its hydrophobic properties are optimized to create a smaller spot diameter than MCP2 or MCP4, for when those conditions matter.

MCP2F promotes covalent bonding with many surfaces, including glass, gold, and plastics.
Once affixed, the active NAS component of MCP2F binds with amines, like those from proteins or DNA.

For example, it can be used to attach DNA to a surface (microarray, plastic bead, glass slide, or gold bead), for analysis or probing.
General Application:
Useful as a coated linker molecule.
For example, capturing targeted proteins, DNA/RNA, antibodies, or probing for NA sequences.

MCP4 has a higher affinity for amines than MCP2, and is optimized for DNA over protein arrays.
Additional Info:
This product is sold as an individually packed polymer in PP container, as a full kit which contains accessory solutions.
Purchase of this kit includes Blocking Solution, Spotting Solution (for technologies needing spotting) and Coating Solution.

For US customers, kits are shipped at ambient temperatures, as the polymer is stable in transit.

Upon receipt, store the polymer at -20C (freezer).
Store all solutions at 4C (refrigerator temperatures) to promote longevity.
When stored properly, MCP2/4/2F retain quality for at least two years.
